                     2012 Industry News
May 6, 2012 There is important legislation currently pending in Lansing regarding the survival of Michigan horse racing.  The legislation, which cleared both the Senate and House Agriculture Committees without a single no vote last week, will allow Michigan race tracks to take advantage of emerging technologies and better serve the needs of its customers.

The industry's campaign to get SB1075 and HB5546 passed kicked off on Monday with large rallies in four locations around the state. Opponents of the legislation, backed by the state's casino interests, have already mobilized to try and block the bills, but Michigan horsemen are fighting hard for our survival and the 12,000 jobs that depend on Michigan horse racing.  For more information, click here.
