In Loving Memory...SAND CHASER, 1994-2008

We at Winwood Farm are saddened to report that SAND CHASER, our 14-year-old trotting stallion of four years, died September 16th due to a bad case of Colic.

In his first lifetime start, SAND CHASER won the Review Stakes in 1:57.3 and went on to get a lifetime mark of 1:53.4.  SAND CHASER produced many great trotters including BOLOGNA LIPS, SANDY HOOFPRINTS, SKY RIDGE KNIGHT, JC CHASER and many more.

SAND CHASER was part of our family and will be greatly missed.  He was a wonderful companion and a pleasure to work with.

The staff at Winwood Farm would like to thank the many people who bred their mares to SAND CHASER over the years.

SAND CHASER FACTS

No faster trotting stallion standing in Michigan.

 

Perfect gait - required no boots, only brace bandages and was simply rigged with just an open bridle.

 

Extreme speed - won the Review Stakes in 1:57.3 ~ first lifetime start!

 

Produced great 1/2 mile trotters.  Past 1/2 mile performers include THIS SANDS HOT, 1:57.2H ($113,207) and DOCDOR CHASER, 1:57.4H ($68,035).

 

Aged trotters include SKY RIDGE KNIGHT, 1:55.0S ($117,726), SANDY HOOFPRINTS, 1:55.3M ($149,215), BOLOGNA LIPS, 1:56.3F ($184,544), JC CHASER, 1:56.4F ($130,452) SANDY ROS, 1:56.0F and SANDY BRITCHES, 1:56.4Z.
